Li-Lu Caring Hands Center was born out of a heartfelt inspiration following the passing of Ms. Lilian Ibiang’s mother Late Mama Lucy Efu in 2020. The loss of her mother sparked a deep passion within Ms. Lilian to provide care for the elderly. This passion was further fueled by the declining health of her brother-in-law, a compassionate man who always put others before himself. The foundation was established with a vision to ensure that everyone could live a fulfilling life and receive dignified care in their later years. Ms. Lilian have always harbored a desire to assist the underprivileged in society, particularly the elderly. The opportunity to care for a 72-years-old woman who had been abandoned by her family and placed in a group home in New Jersey, USA, highlighted the prevalent issue of elder abuse and neglect. This experience served as a catalyst for the creation of Li-Lu Caring Hands in 2023. The ultimate goal of Li-Lu Caring Hands is to establish a nursing home that will provide compassionate care for the elderly. This dream will be a testament to Ms. Lilian’s unwavering dedication to improving the lives of those in need. Additionally, the Ms. Lilian is recognized for her empathy and compassion towards those facing hardships. This quality is evident in her continuous efforts to support various marginalized groups. One of such example is her involvement in offering aid to elderly and young adults in Africa, as showcased on Li-Lu Caring Hands’ social media platforms such as Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram.
