Ms. Lilian Ibiang is the esteemed founder of the Lilian and Lucy Caring Hands Center (Li-Lu Caring Hands), a pioneering organization dedicated to improving the lives of older adults in Africa. With a distinguished career spanning eight years of focused work with seniors. Ms. Ibiang brings a wealth of expertise and passion to her role. Holding a Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW) from Rutgers University, a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from Seton Hall University, and a Bachelor in Banking and Finance from the University of Calabar Nigeria, her academic foundation is formidable. She has enriched her knowledge through an extensive one-year certification program in gerontology, alongside numerous other certifications and training. Ms. Ibiang’s passion to serve vulnerable population extend beyond older adults, encompassing individuals with dual diagnoses on the developmental and multi-handicap disabled spectrum. Her dual citizenship of Nigeria and the United States lend a global perspective to her endeavors, ensuring culturally sensitive and holistic care approaches. A strong advocate for older adults facing abuse, Ms. Ibiang tirelessly champions their rights and well-being. At the helm of Li-Lu Caring Hands Foundation, Ms. Ibiang combines her administrative Skills with her unwavering dedication to effecting positive change. Ms. Ibiang’s leadership epitomizes compassion, innovation, and a steadfast commitment to enhance the quality of life for older-adults in Africa.
Mr. Joshua Bassey
Program Director
Joshua Bassey is the Program Director at Li-Lu Caring Hands, bringing 9 years of experience in program management and leadership. With a focus on Christian missions and flock shepherding, he has successfully designed and implemented programs that address social issues and improve the lives of individuals in need. Joshua is committed to developing innovative strategies that align with the organization’s mission and goals, empowering individuals, fostering inclusivity, and promoting social well-being. He leads by example, nurturing a culture of teamwork, empathy, and excellence, while collaborating with stakeholders to maximize the impact of Li-Lu Caring Hands’ programs. Holding a Degree in Economics from the University of Calabar, Nigeria, Joshua continues to engage in professional development to stay updated on best practices in management. Committed to creating positive change, Joshua inspires others to join him on a journey of compassion, empowerment, and social impact.

I have always agreed with the opinion that we are all we have, and the older population deserves our absolute love, care, companionship and respect. I am Bright Irek, the Programme Coordinator for Li-Lu Caring Hands which is dedicated to caring for older adults. Growing up in Obubra Local Government Area of Cross River State, Nigeria, I always had a passion for helping others. I knew I wanted to make a difference in the lives of older adults, so after earning my degree in Engineering from the University of Cross River State, and gaining experiences and recording successes in different walks of life, volunteering to work with Li-Lu Caring Hands, is one of my many achievements, as it gives me the opportunity to create a supportive atmosphere for vulnerable old adults.My vision is to have a society where older adults are completely cared for without biases.
